Thanks to all who participated and donated to Abbey's Walk 2010!
We raised $3,448.00 this year and had over 100 walkers. Thanks for making it a success!

$100.00 will be donated to Proctor's, Addiction Recovery Walk in Abbey's name and $100.00 will be donated to Delavan's Drug Task Force.

2nd Annual Abbey's Walk

In March of 2009, we lost our loved one Abbey, to a drug addiction. The loss has been disheartening. Since our loss, it has become our goal to prevent other friends and families from suffering a similar loss. We have put together a walk to raise funds to be donated to Tazwood. The money raised is then used to update resources, to use in helping people, in our community to overcome addictions.

This year, you may choose to walk in memory of someone, or in support of someone dealing with addiction.

2010 Walk Design

2010 Walk!

The plans for this years walk is underway!
The walk will be held on the 3rd Saturday of September.
The walk will begin at 9:00 a.m., and will take place at the Pekin Park Lagoon.
There will be a walk fee of $15; $20 if you would like a t-shirt.

Missing my sister for a year,
Close to my heart I keep her near.

In my mind I see her cheerful face,
When I'm out and about I think I see her in every place.

Her chipper voice I hear so clear,
Then realize it's from yesteryear.
